Churt & Frensham Ponds – Emma and Nigel

Emma and Nigel’s wedding is one I look back on and can’t help but feel a huge surge of emotion come pouring over me. I love these two. What a fun couple and what a bonkers wedding!

We started with Emma’s preparations at her Mum Olive’s house, with bridesmaids gathering in their beautiful handmade dresses (by the talented Olive), flowers everywhere you looked and THAT stunning flower crown of Emma’s. Afterwards we headed in classic Minis to one of the prettiest churches I’ve ever visited, St John’s in Churt, Surrey, for a beautiful and emotional ceremony. Since Emma grew up in the area we decided to head to Frensham Ponds for their couple’s session, which was simply glorious! The weather was beautiful and everyone on the beach was very keen to congratulate the newlyweds :) We then met the guests at a gorgeous private house and garden in Churt called Quinnettes, where they had their reception. Not wanting to finish celebrating there, after the speeches and wedding breakfast were over, we took a quick stroll down the road to the village hall (Nigel went via the local pub for several pints!) for their first dance and party!

What an amazing day it was. One thing I loved about Nigel was his relaxed attitude to the whole day; being Kiwi, he decided to ditch his wedding shoes early on in favour of his flip-flops or ‘jandals’ as he referred to them :) The day was exactly how they wanted it: fun, relaxed, informal and a good old fashioned knees up, just how I love weddings to be :) Very hard choosing my favourites but here they are!

Leez Priory – Amber & Andy

I LOVED this wedding. Everything about it, the venue, the dress, the decor, the fact Amber and Andy practised their first dance in the middle of a field moments before the real thing, simply all of it. I didn’t wanted to leave! Amber and Andy contacted me some time ago and once I found out the reason they booked me was because Andy liked ducks, I knew we were going to get along :)

We had a lovely pre-wedding shoot at Bookham Commons a few months before, and it made me realise just how much fun these two were, and how I knew their wedding was going to be amazing. I wasn’t disappointed! Amber looked SO stunning in her Justin Alexander gown, and Andy and his boys incredibly dapper in their top hats and tails. It was the second weekend in July, you know, the one where it was over 33 degrees the whole day?! The fact that Amber looked just as beautiful at the end of the evening as she did the minute she stepped out of those huge wooden doors, is a testament to her. She was calm and controlled, and looked extremely beautiful. I, on the other hand, was melting with all my gear round my neck! But we battled through, and amazingly enjoyed not only an outdoor ceremony, but an outdoor first dance too. How cool is that? And just how stunning is Leez Priory? What an incredible venue, I would love to photograph there again, but for now, I have the wonderful memories of sharing such a brilliant day with two fabulous people and their dear friends.

Old Portsmouth – Kristen and Adam

Since Kristen and Adam’s wedding is coming up in the next couple of months, I felt it was time to publish some of the photos from our pre-wedding shoot in beautiful Old Portsmouth. Kristen’s family are lucky enough to live almost right on the coast so we had a really pleasant (but very warm!) few hours wandering around taking in the sights. We couldn’t resist nipping on board HMS Victory for a few snaps too, only after some ice-cream of course! Can’t wait for their wedding in a couple of months, here are some of my favourites! xxx
