Stationers Hall Wedding

Ok, so I’ll admit blogging on time is not my forte. But I do have the excuse of loving my couples so hard that editing so many lovely photos means it’s REALLY hard to choose just a mere snippet of their day to show off. I try and aim for 80 images on my blog. There was no doubt that Mike & Mark’s day was going to blow that number, which of course I have. So I suggest three things, get a cup of tea/coffee/wine (which would be most fitting), grab some tissues, and prepare yourself to fall in love with two of the best people I’ve ever met. Michael and Mark.

Two AWESOME chaps. One BRILLIANT venue and one AMAZING riverboat ride. I think this blog may break the record for number of images containing hugs and/or tears, but I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed this much love at a wedding before so it was sort of impossible to avoid. We started at The Stationer’s Hall near St Paul’s where the couple chose to meet up discreetly ahead of their guests and head down the aisle together. I LOVED THIS! Tears flowed pretty much instantly, and they didn’t really stop. It was a beautiful, funny, heartfelt and of course emotional ceremony, followed by the quickest march to Blackfriars bridge to hop aboard the awaiting vessel. All morning the weather was looking a tad iffy, but we got the most incredible skies on that boat trip! Cue massively chuffed photographer. There were some speeches by a few of the Groom Pack and a move from Mark that I’ll never quite believe happened in such a tiny space – did I mention how ridiculously talented a dancer he is?! Champagne filled, we all headed back to the venue for some fun & games on the red carpet and awaiting paparazzi before taking our seats for dinner. I’ve now decided that all page-boys need to act as table planners with clipboard – and have totally stolen this idea for my own wedding in a few months time ;)

Speeches. Well, there were many, and they were brilliant, emotional and hysterical in equal measure. I may well have sobbed my little head off when Mike thanked me for what felt like an eternity and was probably the biggest highlight of my year, so thank you for making me go red and also totally mushy at the same time, Mike.

Things ran a little later than planned but I KNEW these boys had been planning something a bit special for their dance, so I had to stay and capture it. Poor Mark’s face when I said they were bringing it forward (originally was set to perform in an hour’s time) and had zero time to practice! Well thankfully my faith in them was justified because OMG. THE MOST AMAZING THING TO WITNESS AND ATTEMPT TO STAY FOCUSED AND PHOTOGRAPH AT THE SAME TIME. WHAT A DANCE. Mike and Mark were born entertainers, performers and downright born to be with one another. I have never and will never believe my luck when they chose me. Guys, I love you both with all my heart. I will go on stalking your lives on Instagram for as long as I am able, and will be cheering you on to have the best and happiest days together always. Thank you for making my third wedding of a weekend one I will NEVER forget. Here is your story as told by me… a few of my faves xxx
