Prepare for an incredibly cool and awesome wedding. Becca and Elyes are two AMAZING people. Not only do they run the massively successful Sweetie Pies Boutique Bakery in Twickenham, but they also have vision. Vision to turn what is already a stunning venue, Orleans House Gallery, into an oasis of red and yellow awesomeness. Space hoppers? Check. Oversize yellow balloons? Check. Personalised picnic baskets with Pom-Bear crisps? Check. And that was just the morning. They had their ceremony at early o’ clock, and being probably the hottest weekend in July, it was above 30 degrees celsius even at 9.30am! But boy did the sunshine make everything look even more wonderful. The guests and I enjoyed picnicking and eating the world’s tallest pavlova wedding cake (we won’t mention that it fell..*ahem*), we were soon rounded up onto probably the world’s oldest bus (ok, slight exaggeration) that was to take us all the way to St Pancras. Oh yes, we were all headed to Paris. AMAZING. Yes, it was. We won’t mention the three hours it nearly took us to go one stop on the metro with one bridesmaid carrying ALL the beautiful flowers from Fairy Nuff Flowers, plus all the rest of us traipsing behind bride Becca, who during this entire time had a giant, yellow, helium filled balloon attached to her…
Once we’d freshened up, we were straight out the door for one of the yummiest dinners I’ve ever had, in an awesome restaurant, where we met some of Elyes’ relatives. What a night. How my delightful roomie, Nicola, managed to sneak in at 4 or was it 5am? without me waking I’ll never know! The next day we went sightseeing, the others going off on their mammoth bicycle tour around Paris, whilst I roamed the streets thinking ‘I can’t believe how lucky I am to have booked this wedding’. Well, I still can’t, and have been dying to share some images so here they are at long last! I shall treasure this wedding for the rest of my days :) Thank you Becca and Elyes, I love you long time x
