Another beautiful Loseley Park wedding! I’m halfway through my Summer season and the weddings are all singing once more. It feels like we’re back to normal and whilst I know that may not last (praying it does!) I am lapping up every second that I get to pack my cameras and head to capture these beautiful days again. This time it was the turn (finally) of Nick and Lizzie. Oh these two. I have been so lucky with my clients during this hectic time, but there are a few standout couples who’ve been a total pleasure to deal with, and who I would have fought tooth and nail to remain a part of their day. Yep you’ve guessed it, this lovely duo is one of them. After the trauma of last year, they re-booked a date in May, a Friday which I know Nick wasn’t overly keen on originally, just to fit in with my diary. They sent me flowers despite the fact it should have been me thanking them, and sadly once more we had a last minute change to July. My last available date in a 9 wedding month. I have never shot more than 7 weddings in one month and with three still to go, I can say I don’t regret it for a second, keeping hold of my clients is all I’ve cared about since day one.

So back to the main event! Nick got ready at his family home in beautiful Abinger Common in the Surrey Hills, being captured by my wonderful second shooter for the day, Emmie. I was up at Loseley Park with Lizzie and her crew, and we met at the stunning St James’ Church across the common. The sun shone all day, after an unseasonal July of rain and storms and pretty much everything in between. Thankfully they dodged the impending heatwave that followed and we thanked the weather gods for allowing such a beautiful venue to be used in all its glory.

Loseley Park will always remain a favourite, lord knows I go on about it enough, but it was a treat to be able to capture a church ceremony before we all headed back to the house to enjoy the gardens and barn. The guests were just awesome, happy, supportive, laughing and great fun to be around. It’s fairly easy to say that these guys are loved deeply by their nearest and dearest. They truly are the best, sweetest, most thoughtful couple, never wanting a fuss, just making sure everyone was having a wonderful time. I am so glad I got to be a part of this day at last, and I hope it was worth the long wait! A huge thanks to Steve at Skinny Boy Films for always being an utter privilege to work alongside, the most stunning flowers by The Gorgeous Flower Company also need mentioning, and of course thanks to Hannah and the rest of the staff at Loseley for always making me feel like an old friend. Nick and Lizzie, the biggest thanks goes to you both, you’re absolutely made for one another and I hope your next big life milestone gets underway soon, looking forward to dog walks in Surrey very soon!  Lots of love, and enjoy your previews! xxx
