Loseley Park – Helen & Gareth’s Wedding

So it’s only two sleeps til Christmas! Yay! And what I have chosen to do this fine evening by the fire? Wrap presents? Eat even *more* mince pies? Slurp a little mulled wine? Well, in a short answer, yes, BUT…I have also found time to post a wedding from my favourite time of year, the first week of September :) Quite honestly, the weather is ALWAYS beautiful. I don’t know why, but it is. And after a slightly cloudy start, Helen and Gareth’s wedding at Loseley Park certainly lived up to its beauty, with stunning evening sunshine.

We began the day at Helen and Gareth’s home, chilling with Michael Bublé on repeat, lots of girly giggles and a very excited Mum and Dad. Helen had a bit of a disaster with her original wedding dress, (word to the wise, make sure you get wedding insurance) and with only three weeks to go til their big day, she managed to find one of the most gorgeous dresses I’ve seen this year, and we both agreed it was THE dress, even after all the heartache and worry the first one caused. My lovely friend and second shooter, Louise Adby was at Loseley capturing Gareth and his groomsmen, eagerly awaiting Helen in their stunning Rolls Royce wedding car.

I have to admit, despite having shot a few weddings at Loseley now, and am very excited to have four already there for 2015, it really doesn’t ever get old for me. It is SUCH a beautiful place. The light in the house is just stunning, and the gardens sumptuous, and at this wedding they didn’t disappoint at all! We had a relaxed walk round the grounds for their couple session, and came back to find the Barn dressed with so many pretty vintage details. I had a ball photographing Helen and Gareth’s wedding, it was a true pleasure to be part of their day, and lovely to work with Louise again too.
