‘THANK YOU SO MUCH! You were better than the best on the day, in the run up and the photos are just everything we hoped and more. For me, it was like having a 5th bridesmaid – you calmed me and organised brilliantly. Words cannot do you justice and I cannot thank you enough. Our photos are truly wonderful and hold memories we will treasure now and forever.’
Somerset Country House Wedding
Sarah and Craig’s beautiful wedding is one I’ve been desperate to share as it is one of my most favourite weddings of all time. Being a wedding planner herself, Sarah knows precisely how to rock a wedding. I first met her a couple of years ago during another couple’s celebrations at Fetcham Park, and was utterly thrilled to be asked to photograph her and Craig’s wonderful day at Pennard House last September. What an amazing, stunning venue it is! We were blessed with that beautiful September sunshine and you couldn’t find a couple more deserving than these two. Craig is one of the most decent men I’ve come across, along with his best man and twin brother, Darren, who I have to admit calling Craig a number of times during the day (sorry Darren!) even despite them wearing different coloured shoes! All the bridesmaids were incredibly lovely, fun and helpful in getting Sarah ready for her big day. What a beautiful room to prepare in! I am so very spoiled with regards to the places I am asked to work in, something I truly treasure.
The couple were married in the beautiful All Saints church, just a hop skip and a jump from Pennard House itself, and ironically I spotted a female guest doing just that seconds before Sarah was due to walk down the aisle…there is always one! :) It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony, and it was a pleasure to witness, despite not being allowed to take many photographs during the event itself. An excited confetti line up kicked off the reception drinks whilst Sarah and Craig and I wandered around the secret gardens for their couples’ session. The evening began with some brilliant speeches and was rounded off by some absolutely excellent moves from Sarah and Craig’s first dance right through to two grandad’s boogying on the dance-floor – a wedding right up my street indeed!
Being involved with such a wonderful day I couldn’t end this post without some special mentions, the incredibly stunning flowers by Jay Archer, a beautiful cake from Anna Cake Couture, and Penfold the wedding band – who were absolutely fantastic at keeping the dance-floor flowing! I’d also like to take this opportunity to dedicate this blog post to the very lovely Tim, Sarah’s older brother, who is missed dearly.
Here are my favourites from their beautiful day, one I will always be so grateful to have been a part of…. xxx
