Cowdray House Wedding
And so it ends, my 2019 wedding season, and what a way to happily hang up my cameras. I’d been looking forward to this beautiful day for about a year, after I’d first met Dani and Tom at their pre-wedding shoot. We chose to do it at Cowdray House since with Winter weddings, you never quite know what the weather will do, but amazingly we had incredible light on both occasions! One could argue that they deserved it but that makes me feel as though anyone who doesn’t get lovely light deserves that also so I will shut up about the weather now. Although I WILL say, that the kind of light that flooded the bridal suite just about blew my mind and I genuinely wished the whole event had been shot there.
So, back to the couple at hand. I say this a lot, but I have some form of magnetic field around me that seems to attract the world’s most lovely people. Dani, as echoed in a speech from her lovely mother, is THE most caring person I’ve met. Tom, who’s quiet, but so wonderfully gracious, deeply loving and the most charming of gentleman, clearly adores her. It was just adorable to witness. They made it effortless for me, all I ask for is my couples to enjoy their day and let me capture it, and I’m so grateful that’s exactly what they did.
After a beautiful morning getting ready, we headed to a local Church, where Tom and Dani were married. The most beautiful ceremony followed by a spray of confetti (hand dried by friends of theirs – cute!), and a slightly excitable photographer keen to make the most of the light, hurried us all back to the house :) I was SO pleased to catch the last of the daylight, I think we had fifteen minutes in the end, but it’s all we needed. I don’t think I need to express just HOW stunning Cowdray House is. I mean, wow. Jacaranda did the most incredible job helping to make it look even more beautiful, and served delicious food to all as usual.
I will admit that I had a tear or two in my eye during the speeches, Tom, you are such a special soul, well done on such a brilliant and heartfelt speech. I could see how much it meant to Dani, to be centre of attention and adoration for once, as I know she is permanently taking care of and worrying about others normally. I ended my day with these two lovely people after their cake cutting, again, made by one of their guests, who are these talented people! I can’t believe how beautiful and professional it looked. I don’t normally blog my previews, but I do try to every once in a while, and I’m thrilled to be signing off my 2019 books with this one. Thank you, so so much, for having me. It was an absolute blast. Lots of love xx
