I’ve been dying to feature this beautiful Fenton House wedding and now Winter is here and things have calmed down a bit, I felt it was time to share Caroline and Moussa’s special day. We started off at the striking St Michael’s Church in Highgate, followed by a beautiful Fenton House reception. However it turned into an absolutely beautiful Iranian London Wedding too! When Caroline said that Moussa’s Grandma was travelling all the way from Turkey to be there, I knew there would be a special something on the cards for his Iranian family. I don’t think anyone was prepared for such an intimate and unusual ceremony! There was so much detail on the Sofreye Aghd (the wedding spread) including; the Seven Herbs, Seven Pastries, Mirror of Fate, the Persian Rose and a cup of Honey to name but a few. Friends of Caroline held a silk and lace shawl over their heads during the entire ceremony which just finished off the stunning surroundings of the garden of Fenton House. It truly was an experience for me and one I’ll never forget!
They had access to the gorgeous house itself, which has a teeny room in the roof with a private balcony overlooking views of the city. Moussa’s groomsmen were all dressed in smart Navy and Caroline had the most awesome bejewelled, patterned wedding shoes on!
The wedding cake was a superb traditional Iranian cake, and the dancing which followed was definitely upbeat and great fun to capture! I had an absolute ball photographing this wedding, and had the privilege of working with the lovely Emmelie Eriksson who was videographer for the day. Definitely get in touch with this lady if you’re looking for a cool and relaxed videographer, she is the nuts!
Before I waffle on much further, have a nose and see what you think, it was an awesome day and I would love to shoot more unique ceremonies in the future! Enjoy! xxx
