The Old Rectory Estate Wedding

Oh this wedding! This was the third year in a row that I’d got to spend the day with lovely Laura and Emory. The last two years had seen me photograph Laura’s lovely sister Danielle’s wedding to Tim which was split across two dates thanks to you know what. But thankfully I absolutely love Laura’s family so it was certainly no loss hanging out with them again this Summer!

Preparations began at Laura’s folks’ house, a stunning home not far from the pretty St Nicholas Church in Godstone where they had their ceremony. Laura’s mum made her stunning wedding dress, as she had done for Dani previously. I must say there is no end to Rose’s talents! It was utterly perfect and Laura looked incredible in it. It was, as is fast becoming the norm, a very hot day, but let’s face it, wall to wall sunshine is far better in a venue such as this than rain.

This was my first visit to the incredible Old Rectory Estate, what a place! It is the most unique venue I’ve ever photographed at and has hidden gems throughout. Needless to say I dragged poor Laura & Emory around each area of the grounds since it was just so beautiful everywhere. Thankfully they put up with me and I am so happy we did, the results are so pretty!

It was a day filled with the best atmosphere, everyone was upbeat, and totally up for a party – the best kind of wedding. Here are some of my favourite photos as they wedding preview, only 700 or so more photos to edit! Can’t wait to get stuck in and share this lovely gallery with them soon.
