“I have goosebumps, feel a little jelly legged and have had a proper cry whilst looking through these. I’ve only had a quick flick through as i’m at work, but all I can say is WOW. I can’t wait to spend time tonight going through them all one by one. You are truly a very talented lady and I can’t get over how beautiful all the pictures are – the light, colours etc. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.”
West Sussex Vineyard Wedding
Ok I’ll admit, whilst it’s busy wedding season it’s hard to keep up with the old blogging. But each year I shoot SO many beautiful weddings and some of them I just HAVE to share. This one was written firmly on my ‘to blog’ list on my journey home. Lucinda and Oliver’s beautiful West Sussex vineyard wedding. WHAT a day. I absolutely adore the pair of them. Gorgeous, talented and the sweetest people you could wish to meet.
I have a major girl crush on Lucinda and her wedding look. THAT flower crown (I will always swoon over flower crowns) and her absolutely beautiful bespoke Charlie Brear dress, which fitted her perfectly. Lucinda is effortlessly gorgeous so it’s no surprise that Oliver was blown away when he saw her.
Oliver and his brothers have a chain of incredible restaurants in London and the food adoring the wedding was second to none. I have never been so desperate to sneak in a few canapés before! They were married at a beautiful and quaint church in West Sussex nearby to the incredible reception, Nutbourne Vineyards, childhood home to Oliver. I don’t think I was quite prepared for SUCH a ‘back garden wedding’!! The weather was as it should have been, beautiful sunshine and fluffy clouds without being scorching, what a rarity for a bank holiday in August! I’m convinced my couples are the best which is why they get the best weather <3
After an emotional end to the ceremony whereby Lucinda’s brother sang for them, we hopped, skipped and tractor rode our way to the vineyard to enjoy a lovely and relaxed reception complete with steel drums. Side note, more weddings should have steel drums. Let’s not forget one of the longest confetti runs either! I will NEVER tire of photographing confetti…always so much fun.
We had a few wonderful speeches to round off a simply wonderful day, kudos once again to Lucinda for delivering a confident and brilliant speech – MORE bridal speeches please! And I made my exit shortly after the cake cutting. I have SUCH fond memories of this wedding. I mean, stunning vineyard vistas aside, what really makes weddings for me is the people. And I just adore these two, Lucinda and Oliver, I’m sorry it took me almost a year to blog your beautiful wedding, but I hope you’re having the best Summer so far and have wonderful things plans for your first anniversary in a few weeks. Here are some of my favourites from your beautiful day! <3
