Hannah & Jon – Northbrook Park

“I don’t even know where to start! We just had the BEST day and that is largely thanks to you for making us feel so fabulous and relaxed throughout the whole thing! Honestly, during the bride prep you somehow managed to screw my head back on when it was hanging by a thread – offering me food, drink… ensuring people got their broaches… reassuring me the randomers were Registrars, not unknown guests! The list is endless, you thought of everything! To top it all off the photos are just incredible! You capturing my Grandad kissing my hand is so special! They bought tears to my eyes thinking about all the wonderful moments.”

Northbrook Park Wedding, Farnham

Ohhh how I love seeing the sun shining when I’m compiling a blog post of a very wonderful and sunny day. I have been SO desperate to share this incredible Northbrook Park wedding. Hannah and Jon are simply AWESOME. It was such a treat to head back to a venue I know and love, I only seem to photograph the BEST people there, so I know when I get another enquiry for this place I’m always giddy at the prospect of returning. Thankfully 2019 will see me head back again, more than once I hope!

So, back to the fabulous day in August last year. It was a complete surprise that I was to photograph a wedding whereby most of the guests were old school colleagues of mine, sadly I’m that much older than Hannah and her friends so I didn’t know them personally, but it was lovely to see a few familiars amongst the guests themselves. Hannah had an army of AMAZING girls support her.  Such beautiful, caring, funny and sweet bridesmaids, who helped the day run smoothly. As for Jon, what a happy and handsome bunch of groomsmen to keep you going! He had two best men, who both delivered brilliant and heartfelt speeches, all of which, made me cry a lot of tears. Let’s not even mention what Hannah’s father and Jon’s efforts did to me! These were some of the best speeches I’ve heard at a wedding and kept everyone engrossed throughout. (Spoiler, there may be a LOT of speech photos in this blog post as a result!)

The weather was PERFECT. And just as they deserved. The light in the ceremony room is always gorgeous, but it shone as the absolutely beautiful Hannah came down the aisle in that dress, which I’m fairly sure took Jon off at the knees. Confetti went flying and hugs were given, including some truly special ones by Hannah’s Grandparents which I was so delighted to capture. The exit of the ceremony is one of my favourite parts of the day to photograph, filled with so much energy and love. We had the most chilled and tasty canapé filled reception thanks to the awesome caterers Kalm Kitchen, then Hannah, Jon and I wandered off to have a bit of quiet time around the grounds for their couples session. A quick game of Mr and Mrs kicked off the evening reception which quite frankly ‘went off’ from the first dance. There were no gaps on that dancefloor…it was definitely an epic one!! I could go on and on about this wedding, but I’ve pulled in a few more photos instead, so grab a cuppa, and have a flick through one of my favourite days of 2017. Hannah and Jon, I love you guys to BITS! You were and will always be one of my fave couples to work with, and I am so so grateful that you chose me to be your photographer!
