A Cotswolds Wedding – Sam & Rich

Where to start with this incredible day!?   Samantha and Richard are amazing. With the help of family and friends, they made almost EVERYTHING themselves. Sam’s Mum essentially took apart and re-designed Sam’s stunning vintage lace dress, made their wedding cakes, grew most of their flowers and was still up at midnight the night before putting the finishing touches to most things! Sam, being a graphic designer, was in charge of all the finer details, their awesome invitations and all the menus, table plans etc. And don’t even get me started on amount of effort that Sam and Richard put into decorating the beautiful hall in Great Barrington! (most adorable village ever). The couple were married in Oxford with just a few close family and friends in the morning, Sam wearing her first dress of the day in a gorgeous mint green. After that we all travelled to the hall (with me being the Bridal car for the day, an honour in itself!) where their lovely Humanist ceremony took place. It was such an amazing day, full of laughter and fun and personal touches, I truly had the best time and doing our couple’s session driving and stopping off at various points through the village, dodging the rain and gale force winds was one of my personal highlights! Not to mention the ONLY way to travel from your ceremony to reception venue…by His ‘n Hers matching bikes complete with skateboarding and biking entourage! AMAZING. I left them after their awesome first dance, which really was one of my favourite to photograph to date. Enough of me waffling on though…check it out for yourself!
