A Beautiful Home Farm Wedding
A farm wedding at home, in Farnham, Surrey. I am sincerely one of the luckiest photographers out there knowing I do so many homespun weddings. They truly are my favourite. I know I shouldn’t have favourites but knowing in advance just how relaxed and sentimental they are, arriving at someone’s family home to capture their day just brings about something a little bit special. Rosalie and Karl found and I believe chose me due to the fact I have a rabbit and general animal obsession. Thankfully they liked my photographs too ;) But I always knew this wedding was going to be one I’d remember forever.
Rosy and Karl are two of the sweetest, most caring and compassionate people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet, so it was no surprise to discover their entire families were just the same and I felt immediately welcomed into their home upon my arrival. There was a lot of hustle and bustle getting the garden marquee ready for their day, with Rosy and her bridesmaids getting ready upstairs and me running around trying to take photos of everything in Rosy’s parents incredible home! I have to mention Rosy’s stunning Jesús Peiró dress, bought from my favourite dress shop, Miss Bush, could she have been any cooler!? For June we had a few rain clouds (boo to June, you always do this to me!) but nobody cared. We also had some blazing sunshine and thankfully as Rosy and Karl left the church for one of the longest lines of confetti I’ve ever seen, the sun shone and they were able to ride their horse and carriage back to the farm. What an AWESOME exit and entrance!! The gardens at the house are simply beautiful, and we wandered around grabbing a few moments in the grounds before heading over to the open sided marquee for some truly brilliant and emotional speeches. And can I just add that everyone needs to have Cosmopolitans as a pre-wedding breakfast drink! What an amazing idea :)
I was lucky enough to spot some pretty clouds just before I headed home so we took the opportunity to go into the fields and meet Champ, Karl’s pet sheep, and have a cuddle with Amaretto, Rosy’s rabbit (cue me struggling not to take her home with me). I’m not going to lie when I say these moments may have been the highlight of my year! I had SUCH a wonderful, wonderful day with these two at their beautiful, relaxed and simply joyous wedding. I wish I could do it all over again. I’m really looking forward to having a family shoot with them both and their doggies in the new year now! Anyway enough waffle, here are a few of my favourites, I hope you like! Are you planning a homespun wedding? If you’d like to know more about my approach or have any further questions please just shout! I’d love to hear from you!
