Millbridge Court Wedding
So I’m writing this on a very wet and soggy March evening. The day before my first wedding of 2018 and it’s given me just the boost and excitement for this year’s wedding season that I needed. There will be only one Alex and Kraig. This is one awesome couple, and I am genuinely not sure I will meet such a fantastically fun bunch of people as themselves and their guests ever again. EVERYWHERE I turned there was laughter, utter joy and downright sauciness (I’ve had to exclude a few photos from the end of my evening with them!) :)
It all happened at the incredibly stunning Millbridge Court, in Frensham, Surrey. Oof what a venue, this was my first outdoor ceremony held at Millbridge and whilst I rarely include detail shots in my blog post, I just sort of had to, because the flowers on this day were something else. Jay Archer, you’re an absolute genius. Her team created the most magnificent flower arch for the Arbor at Millbridge, and yes, the biggest bouquet you’re likely to ever see. It took two hands to pass it to Alex who quite honestly nailed carrying it ALL day! Utterly beautiful. This wedding had it all, Alex’s stunning and funky ‘bouff’ – named by one of my favourites, Carolanne who was the legend behind creating it, THE most gorgeous Sophia Webster shoes and of course delicious food by those ever clever folk at Kalm Kitchen. Not only that, I had the fabulous Bea with me second shooting, who did a fabulous job in capturing some wonderful moments for me.
Back to the day, I’ve always loved Millbridge, and I’m jolly excited to be back there this year four times, but this July absolute scorcher of a wedding simply had my heart singing. The ceremony was full to the brim with emotion, so many tears from lovely Kraig, and so many smiles from their guests. The reception was filled with music and moves from the awesome Doolally Tap, and the speeches more giggles and glances. I love a cake cutting with a bit of ‘stuffing into the mouth’ too…I think that’s how they all should be done! This time the beautiful cake was made by the lovely Andi Freeman, and dressed up with more of Jay’s beautiful florals.
I honestly couldn’t have loved this wedding any more, Kraig was the best laugh and took it all in his stride despite not being one for photos, and Alex is simply the sweetest and most fun bride I’ve known. She had a custom made leather jacket to wear in the evening which she totally rocked and I couldn’t resist grabbing a few shots of the two of them just having a laugh and being themselves by the Arbor later on in the day. MORE weddings like this please! I have to thank the brilliant staff at Millbridge Court too, it’s such a fabulous venue, run flawlessly, and I am very privileged to be a partner and supplier for them.
Here’s to you, Alex and Kraig! Thank you for being truly awesome, one hundred per cent yourselves, and for totally rocking your wedding day. Here are some of my favourites!! <3 xxx
