Farnham Castle Wedding – Nichola & Johnny

I’m slowly getting through some of my favourite weddings from last year to blog. This time it’s the wonderful wedding of Nichola and Johnny, two gorgeous souls who were married in the very pretty St Mary’s church local to Nichola’s parents in Old Basing. They had a sweet and emotional ceremony, followed by a giant confetti run, finished with poor Nichola being ambushed in the face with petals by her brother!!

Afterwards everyone made their way on this gloriously sunny, October Saturday to the fabulous Farnham Castle for the reception. It’s hard to imagine a more picturesque venue than that of a castle, set amongst stunning grounds and with such incredible views! I’m so lucky to live close by to such brilliant venues, and chuffed to have two more weddings there this year.  Their guests were absolutely one of the best crowds I’ve had, so lovely, happy and fun, and helpful to boot! Johnny is one of four rather handsome brothers who all pulled together to help with photos and made sure the day ran smoothly. The speeches were heartfelt and hilarious, the perfect combination and we were even blessed with that special golden hour, something I will always hope for on my couples’ special day! The main hall was transformed in the evening for the awesome first dance and shortly before I headed home I snapped a few shapes being thrown by the guests.

It was one of those all round, perfect days. I know I’m incredibly lucky to do this job, but looking back, even months later at photographs I know will last a lifetime, I am reminded just how blessed I am to be part of days like these. Nichola and Johnny, I’ve loved working with you, I’m so pleased we’ve become friends and thank you for introducing me to the wonderful Eden Blooms, whom I’ve loved getting to know since.
