Where do I start? This wedding was simply gorgeous. Looking back through the photographs of Nikki and Andy’s beautiful day at Gate Street Barn, I was reminded just how much these two LOVE each other. Sometimes it’s given away with a private glance, sometimes it’s visible in the tears and kisses and sometimes you just feel it in your bones; when you see a couple and you know they are utterly made for each other. I was super excited when Nikki initially got in touch as she and I went to sixth form together (all those years ago!) and she told me their wedding was to be held in the chapel at said school! St George’s has changed quite a bit since my day…but it was super lovely to be back and truly special to witness these two celebrate their marriage there.

We then went onto the beautiful barn in Bramley which is fast becoming a favourite of mine, and I also got to sample the AMAZING Kalm Kitchen‘s treats once again! They really are the best caterers on the planet. I can’t help but sneak a few canapé shots in my blog posts…just too yummy not to shoot! The speeches were some of the best and most emotional I’ve ever heard and when it came to home time I just couldn’t leave. I feel so, so honoured to be entrusted to photograph weddings of people I know, and even though I hadn’t seen Nikki for ten years, it now feels as though she’ll always be a friend and I hope to see them both again in the future.
