Gildings Barn Wedding – Surrey

“There’s an official thank you on its way but we really wanted to let you know how much we LOVED ALL our 920 photos!! You are so amazingly talented and everyone oooohs and ahhhhhs over your fabulous pics!!” – official thank you was a pair of SHOES! I honestly was blown away with these two, from day one and right up until now.

I have SO many weddings to share from 2016, and a few left to show from 2015 but every now and again a wedding pops into my head and I just think, right, the world needs to see this pair, the love they have for each other and the day they spent with their loved ones. So here it is! Lauren and James, or Lolly & Cam as I now call them (along with hundreds of others, I’m not weird and didn’t make up nicknames for them) ;) were married by the wonderful celebrant Zena Birch (check her out, she is quite something) in the glorious and sunny outdoors at Gildings Barn, near Dorking in Surrey. I had ALWAYS wanted to shoot at Gildings, I absolutely love a barn wedding but this one is a little bit special. You are pretty much given a blank canvas and it’s down to the couple to create their own slice of awesome – well let’s just say they nailed it. Totally. The detail they went to was insane, I couldn’t stop gawping at all the decor and the incredible handmade concrete wedding favours, let alone the furniture they’d hired in and the show-stopping flowers that the clever Hannah Berry was responsible for! I could go on and on about the details but really that’s not what’s important to me, nor most of my couples. It’s all about the two of them. Lolly and Cam have been together a whopping fourteen years, yet witnessing their day was like seeing a couple of honey-moon period daters. They just love each other. They love their families and they love their friends. Who in turn clearly adore them both to bits, and quite honestly I came away from their wedding almost in tears that it was over. BECAUSE: SO MUCH TO LOVE. I giggled with the girls, and had a laugh with the lads. I cried at Lauren’s Grandads reading The Lovely Other Dinosaur and I nearly wet myself as the guests helped make their wedding Marryoke video. It was just a ruddy perfect day of amazingness.

Enough waffle from me though, onto the photos, yes there are 130, but this was a BIG wedding and I REALLY struggled to cut them down. Lolly & Cam, you two are the greatest most wonderful duo, and I loved getting to know you over the past year or so. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for asking me along, I had a blast. Xxx
