‘We have said it many times, but we really are so grateful to you for all your efforts in producing such stunning and uplifting photographs of what was undoubtedly the best day of our lives (so far!). We’re so looking forward to picking our favourites to display around the house’
Summer Vineyard Wedding at Home
Looking back across some of the beautiful weddings I had last year is really making me crave this Summer season badly! I still have so many gorgeous weddings to share so here is the absolute stunning day of Helen and Alex. Oh honestly, could Helen be the sweetest bride you’ve ever seen? I adored them both, their wonderful welcoming families and especially Alex’s dogs who were made quite a fuss of all day!
The couple were married less than a mile from my home, in a little village church in Clandon, Surrey and had their wedding reception at Alex’s parent’s incredible vineyard home just down the road. To be able to witness and photograph a wedding so close to home was very special to me, and it makes me even more excited knowing I have another two weddings of similar nature later this year, one down the road again and one at another stunning vineyard – spoilt much! Anyway, back to these two. Helen and Alex are two of the kindest, most gentle souls you could ever meet. Loving and with family values right at the heart, it’s no surprise there were more than a few tears shed on that glorious, sunny day in July.
The service was sincere and heartwarming, since it was an older church I was unable to photograph much of it (sadly some churches will prohibit photography during the ceremony – sob) but I managed to sneak in a few at the signing of the register, and we had sunshine a plenty for their awesome confetti line afterwards! The speeches during their wedding were just amazing, lots of tears but more than enough laughter and I loved the stunning marquee setting they had, in amongst the meadow flowers. We were SO spoiled for light during our couple session, the sun just dipping as we finished and as the dancing was ready to kick off. Super swishy dresses for the win! When I saw the sunset outside I just had to grab the pair quickly to snap what was probably my favourite photograph of the year.
Thank you, Helen and Alex, you were an absolute treat to work with, and I was SO grateful to receive one of your very special edition High Clandon Celebration Cuvée bottles as a thank you, made especially to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday but more importantly your beautiful wedding. I shall treasure the bottle always (yes I drank it, I couldn’t resist!!) Here’s to many more celebrations for you and your families to come! A big thanks must also go to the fab team at Food for Occasions, they did an amazing job and were joy to work with! Here are a few favourites from their lovely, lovely day….
